Apple Siri Settlement: Eligible iPhones and How to Claim
Apple's $250M Siri and Apple Intelligence settlement: seven iPhone models, an estimated $25 up to $95 per device, and the December 21, 2026 claim deadline.
A $250 million fund covers claims for seven iPhone models bought in the U.S. between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025.
To claim the Apple Siri settlement, file at the official site by December 21, 2026 using the phone's serial number. The estimated payment is $25 per qualifying device, and the final amount can rise as high as $95 or fall below $25 depending on how many valid claims come in.
The $250 million agreement resolves a consumer class action alleging Apple marketed Siri and Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence (AI) features for the iPhone 16 era that were not available when the phones launched. Apple does not admit wrongdoing. Claims are filed through the official Smartphone AI Settlement website.
How to Claim the Apple Siri Settlement
You claim the Apple Siri settlement by filing a form at SmartphoneAISettlement.com before the December 21, 2026 deadline. The form asks for your iPhone's serial number.
- Confirm your iPhone is one of the seven eligible models and that you bought it in the U.S. between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025.
- Find the serial number on the phone under Settings > General > About.
- Go to the Smartphone AI Settlement claim site and choose "File a Claim".
- Enter your Claim identification (ID) and personal identification number (PIN) if you received them. If you did not, choose the option to file online without one.
- Choose whether you are filing for yourself or for a business.
- Pick a payment method. Personal claims can use PayPal, Venmo, Automated Clearing House (ACH) bank transfer, or a paper check.
- Sign the declaration stating that your information is true, then submit.
A missing Claim ID does not stop you from filing, because the site offers a path without one. For a walkthrough of how claim forms work across many settlements, see our guide on how to claim settlement money.

Eligible purchases are U.S. purchases only, within the stated window. Other iPhone models are not on the list we have. Check the official settlement site. If your receipts are gone, see our page on class action claims without proof of purchase. This settlement asks you to show you bought the iPhone in the window.
What the Lawsuit Said About Siri and Apple Intelligence
The lawsuit alleged that Apple heavily marketed Siri and Apple Intelligence AI capabilities for the iPhone 16 era that were not available when the phones launched. It alleged that this marketing created an expectation the features would be available. The consumer class action was filed in March 2025.
The case is reported as Landsheft v. Apple in the Northern District of California. Confirm the exact case caption on the Smartphone AI Settlement website. Apple does not admit wrongdoing and says it acted in good faith.

How Much Each Claim Could Pay
Each qualifying device is estimated to receive $25 from the Apple Siri settlement. That figure is an estimate, and the real payment moves with the number of valid claims.
The fund totals $250 million. Legal fees, taxes and administration costs come out of that fund, so the amount that reaches claimants is lower than $250 million. The per-device amount can shift with the number of valid claims:
- If few valid claims are made, each device can receive up to a maximum of $95.
- If many valid claims are made, each device can receive less than $25.
Payments are figured per qualifying device. This page describes the settlement's terms, and it cannot tell you whether you qualify or what you will receive. The settlement administrator decides eligibility and amounts. Settlement money may be taxable depending on what it replaces; see our guide on whether settlements are taxable.
Personal vs Business Claims
The claim form splits into a personal path and a business path, and each one asks for different details.
A personal claim needs:
- Your details.
- The iPhone serial number, found in Settings > General > About.
- A payment method: PayPal, Venmo, ACH, or check.
- A signed declaration that the information is true.
A business claim needs:
- Business details and payment details, with ACH or check as the payment choices.
- A signed declaration that the information is true.
- A claim template downloaded from the settlement site, listing each iPhone's serial number, its associated Apple Account ID, and its phone number.
The business template asks for three data points for every phone. The business claim template, downloaded from the official claim site, lists each iPhone's serial number, associated Apple Account ID and phone number.
When Apple Siri Settlement Payments Arrive
No Apple Siri settlement payments go out until the court grants final approval. A settlement is not final until the court approves it at a final approval hearing, and payments follow that approval.
The final approval hearing date has been reported inconsistently, so this page does not list one. The Smartphone AI Settlement website posts the current hearing date.
An appeal after approval can delay payments further. See our explainer on how long a settlement takes. The claim deadline is December 21, 2026.
